WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- Federal regulators on Friday voted to ease rules that require local phone companies to let rivals use their networks to sell high-speed Internet service.

Moore County sheriff s deputies arrested a Special Forces soldier Tuesday and charged him trying to solicit sex from an 11-year-old on the Internet. Deputies charged Army Sgt. Damon Kent Bowers, 31, with solicitation of a child by computer to commit an unlawful sex act.
